I have so many moments… I am extremely passionate about life and at the same time, I’m always depressed, so everything’s always happening at the same time for me. It’s the best day and the worst day too.

The Things We Do For…

I’ve had the Beatles’ The Things We Do For Love on my head all morning. It probably began to play melodiously in my brain around 9:52 a.m.

8:00 a.m. - Alarm goes off. It’s 8, I have to get up in 28 minutes in order to move my car by 8:30 to avoid a ticket.

8:32 - Wake up from a doze. Jump out of bed, throw on shoes and make it outside before there’s a ticket on my windshield fluttering in the wind. Move my car .5 blocks.

8:36 - Start the coffee, but not quite ready to totally wake up yet. I have 54 minutes until I have to move my car again and 1 hour 24 minutes before I need to leave for work.

9:30 - Rush outside again to move my car, this time I take it a little further and put a few gallons of gas in the tank, the light has been on for about a week.

9:46 - Get back to my original 8 a.m. parking spot, sit in my car and wait for 10 a.m. to roll around so I can leave it without getting a ticket.

9:57 - Decide it’s close enough, hop out, wave at one of the locals, parked right behind me. He yells “You can go home now! They won’t getcha!”

10:10 - Walk back out the door for work.

The things we do for… parking spots.

Relax enough, and your body becomes so familiar with the cradle-rocking rhythm that you almost foreget you’re moving. And once you break through to that soft, half-levitating flow, that’s when the moonlight and champagne show up: “You have to be in tune with your body, and know when you can push it and when to back off,” Ann would explain. You have to listen closely to the sound of your own breathing; be aware of how much sweat is beading on your back; make sure to treat yourself to cool water and a salty snack and ask yourself, honestly and often, exactly how you feel. What could be more sensual than paying exquisite attention to your own body? Sensual counted as romantic, right?

Collection of juice combinations I’ve made over the last month……#juiceart

Yesterday I had a job interview in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.  I arrived early* as usual so my walk from the subway to the interview was a leisurely one.  I loved the smoke rising from these candy cane chimneys and the bridge in the background so snapped a photo, then instagramed it.

Later that afternoon my roommate and I decided to run the Williamsburg bridge, where, to my surprise I saw the SAME candy cane chimneys.

*I am always early.  ALWAYS.  Even if I try to be late.  I’ve waited close to an hour to meet people, because I’m early and everyone else is late.  Being early is not cool, I need to work on this.
